Martello’s Greek & Mediterranean Restaurant is perched high in the picturesque surroundings of Millmount and provides magnificent views over Drogheda and the river Boyne. The restaurant borrows its name from the Martello Tower which is without doubt the most dominant feature of Drogheda, situated on top its great mound, and clearly visible from most parts of the town and the surrounding areas and a stones throw away from Scotch Hall shopping centre.
The restaurant was reopened in 2006 by the Botonis family who have brought to the North East, heavenly Greek cuisine that is fit for the Gods! The Botonis family come from the small Ionian island of Zakynthos on the western side of Greece where although the cuisine is mainly Greek, it has had many Italian and Mediterranean influences. The food is fresh, healthy and above all tasty. It is not pretentious but does take time and skill to prepare.
The views from the restaurant conservatory are second to none and we pride ourselves on being the only restaurant in Drogheda with this unique vantage point. From romantic dinners for two to larger wedding functions, the restaurant provides a relaxed, friendly atmosphere, a home from home. So come and relive holidays past or dream of those to come and most importantly raise your glass and say "Yamas"!
